چکیده

Abstract Introduction While bedtime routines are often recommended to address behavioural sleep problems in young children, these recommendations based on parental subjective assessment of behaviours which may not be accurate. The aim this study was establish the feasibility using wearable cameras objectively measure and pre-bedtime screen use preschool-aged children. Methods Sixteen children aged 3-4 years wore a GoPro video camera for two hours prior three consecutive evenings. Subsequent parameters were monitored seven nights by actigraphy. Standardised questionnaires diary provided traditional measures child behaviours. Feasibility determined adherence protocol ability develop reliable coding scheme from data. Acceptability through feedback exit interviews. Results Participant families found acceptable, with majority parents agreeing easy (94%) keep their (81%). Parents felt that wearing did change how they parented (88%), or child’s A incorporating self-care activities, nutrition, reading, physical contact (time, device type, media content) successfully developed interrater reliability established independent coders (kappa >0.8). Conclusions Wearable provide feasible acceptable method This appears is first activities age-group.

Understanding Interactions Between Multiple Wearable Cameras for Personal Memory Capture

A recent trend in mobile computing is the increasing use of worn devices for data capture. Wearable lifelogging cameras such as the SenseCam and Narrative Clip reflect this trend, allowing mobile users to continuously capture images for later review. Image streams provided by these mobile devices can be used in a range of applications, but are commonly used as a way of capturing personal memori...

Place Recognition Using Multiple Wearable Cameras

Recognizing a user’s location is the most challenging problem for providing intelligent location-based services. In this paper, we presented a realtime camera-based system for the place recognition problem. This system takes streams of scene images of a learned environment from user-worn cameras and produces the class label of the current place as an output. Multiple cameras are used to collect...

Bedtime activities, sleep environment, and sleep/wake patterns of Japanese elementary school children.

Bedtime activities, sleep environment, and their impact on sleep/wake patterns were assessed in 509 elementary school children (6-12 years of age; 252 males and 257 females). Television viewing, playing video games, and surfing the Internet had negative impact on sleep/wake parameters. Moreover, presence of a television set or video game in the child's bedroom increased their activity before be...

Exploring Socioeconomic Differences in Bedtime Behaviours and Sleep Duration in English Preschool Children

Children's sleep is critical for optimal health and development; yet sleep duration has decreased in recent decades, and many children do not have adequate sleep. Certain sleep behaviours ('sleep hygiene') are commonly recommended, and there is some evidence that they are associated with longer nighttime sleep. Parents of 84 British 3-year-old children were interviewed about their children's sl...

Click-on-and-Play Human Motion Capture using Wearable Sensors

Background Current inertial motion capture systems are rarely used in biomedical applications. The attachment and connection of the sensors with cables is often a complex and time consuming task. Moreover, it is prone to errors, because each sensor has to be attached to a predefined body segment. By using wireless inertial sensors and automatic identification of their positions on the human bod...
